Collaboration InDesign & InCopy Help

Hello, I've been reading through several threads here about exporting/packaging assignments and sharing them with collaborators by email. I now know this isn't the ideal workflow. 

But, I'm too far in to get out now. 

I exported the assignments, packaged from InDesign and shared with my HR partner. She edited the handbook in InCopy and checked the assignment in. But, we can't package it. The menu items are 'greyed out' and unavailable. 

She sent me the files I sent her and I can see her edits in InCopy. How do I get my InDesign document to update?
