Extra Folder created when I open InCopy File

Hi there,

 

I am new to InCopy and I'm working on developing an InCopy/Indesign worflow structure for multi chapter book publications.

 

Here is the problem I am running into. I have my folders structures built out to my liking, but when I open the InCopy editing file, it creates a new folder inside the main hub folder. I will share a video that shows exactly what is happening. Any idea what is going on? I can not move forward until I figure out this organization issue.

    Try opening the INDD file with InCopy instead of the assignment. I'm not a fan of assignments since they add a layer of complexity that is not necessary for most small workgroups.
