Question

Hitting Enter Gives Page Break and Doesn't Page Down

Hello,

I am hoping that someone can offer some guidance for this issue. I am working on a PC running Windows 10.

In InCopy when I am editing the content, if I hit Enter, it creates a page break and the lines get overset even if there is still room in the text box.

Is there a solution for this so that hitting Enter moves the text to the next line rather than creating a page break?

Thank you!

The enter key on the number pad creates a break. Use the regular enter key or check the keyboard mapping on you computer.

Thanks Bob. I generally use the regular enter key and my keyboard layout seems to be correct.

It is odd. Sometimes in InCopy the enter key works as intended and other times it enters a page break that needs to be corrected by the designer in InDesign.

    That is odd.
