Hyperlinks updated in Incopy CC2015 dissapear

We work in Incopy CC2015 and Indesign. The editor updated hyperlinks in a recent assignment but all the changes seem to get lost or even worse these hyperlinks are missing. The hyperlinks were not behind urls but just text.

I haven't run into this at all, but I'll test it out. Does it happen with all your documents?

BTW the new place to post InDesign bugs and features is Adobe InDesign Feedback.

It's using the UserVoice engine, which lets you comment on other people's feature requests and bugs, and vote them up.

Thank you AnneMarie and Bob –  Yes, this has happened with every document for the last 1.5 years. We are using CC17.0. I'll raise a bug, thanks for the link both!  One more possible variable – we rely on "box" file syncing between our team. i.e., Designer in the US, editors in Dublin. Below is "The reference paragraph or text anchor is missing" red flags we get, if curious.  (btw – thanks so much for your fabulous tutorials on Lynda!)

I've never tried this with Box, only Dropbox.

There’s not enough information here to help, I’m afraid.

Where are they getting lost? InDesign or InCopy? If the assignment and story are re-opened in InCopy, are the hyperlinks still there? Are both InCopy and InDesign fully patched? Have you tried using a layout workflow instead of assignments?

Well, to be honest, we don't know exactly where they get lost. But there are a lot of hyperlinks in the file. If they are edited to ie a new link and we reopen the indesign file they seem to get lost. We took off the 'shared destination' on all links as this made reopened earlier files in indesign and slowed everything down even more.Once you lose them in indesign they are gone in Incopy as well. What do you mean by fully patched? And what do you mean by layout workflow instead of assignments?

Can I share you an example maybe?

Fully patched: all bug fixes and updates.

Layout workflow entails opening the InDesign INDD file in InCopy instead of the ICMA file.
