Question

Incopy crashing after trying to register assignments.

I am working with a publisher on multiple textbooks. The units for one book in particular have started to cause me problems. Extracting the assignments takes far longer than usual. When I register them, again, it takes a very long time, and at the end Incopy crashes. I worked on other units of this book with no problems, and I can work on files for other books. 

 

My client is unable to provide technical support. Can anyone help?

    How are you sharing the files? Is everyone on the same version of InCopy/InDesign? Have you tried skipping the assignments and working directly with the INDD files instead?

    Finally, what are the system specs of the computer?

    Hi Bob,

    We are all working with Incopy 2025. I reinstalled it already to ensure I am on the correct version.

    I am an external supplier to my client and I do not have access to the INDD files. We are working exclusively in Incopy and I will not be permitted to work in INDD.
