Missing Layout View in InCopy When Opening .indd Files

Our editors open up .indd layout files using InCopy to edit stories on a local NAS. We've been doing this for years and since updating to IC 19.5 (Mac), some users are experiencing a missing layout view when they open some .indd files. A workaround is to open a different layout, close it and then open the faulty file again. This trick seems to bring the layout view back to the original file, but it's still very frustrating and doesn't consistently work. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know what could be causing it? The users experiencing the problem are using Sonoma.

Thanks for the reply! Yesterday I fully updated Sonoma on one of the machines that was having the problem. I'm waiting to hear if the problem has persisted after the update. If that doesn't work, what do you suggest? I didn't mention it in the report, but the missing layout view also leads to a crash.

While I have you, is it important that all InCopy and InDesign users be on the same version of the apps? What about macOS versions?

The same version of the applications is critical. Same O/S is not.
