Problem managing texts with different linux fileshares

Hello,

we got a problem managing/editing texts in Incopy over different fileshares on a linux server.

We are using Incopy 2017 and Indesign 2017.

The Problem:

Texts from Volume 1 will be connected to a Incopy file on Volume 3.

The text can be displayed, but not managed. If you click on the text, we get the following message: Textfile could not be opened.

If the textfile is located on the same Volume the textfile could be managed.

Any ideas?

Hi Sebastian,

Would suggest you to use the same volume. It seems to be an issue with the path/permission. I believe that's what Bob meant. You can check this link for the detail workflow: Understand a basic managed-file workflow in InDesign

I think you’ve pretty much already answered your own question.
