A flash virgin needs some guidance

Yes, I am a Flash server virgin. I need some help.  I'm an IT consultant (OS, Exchange and break/fix mostly).  I haven't written code since RBase 3.1.  I have a 3.5.2 Flash Development Server up and running and can see the default video over the Internet using HTTP and RTMP.  I've been reading PDFs, posts and web sites and have come to understand how much I don't know.  Can anyone direct me to a link or post that will tell an idiot how load their own flash video and make it work?  What pride I had has been crushed.
