Hi all,

I want to make a web application with FMS, in which there will be a live webcam broadcast only(No web conference).

I mean one webcam will broadcast only in page and people can be able to watch it when open that page.

I now FMS is limit if we dont buy the product.

What I want to find out, if I make this web site and when people start to enter page for watching, when the user limit reachs 10 what will happen?

and If one of these users close the page (for example count decreases to 9) ,then does another client able to watch when open the page? After all the user or stream count will be max 10 anyway.

I want to make this application as a plot(trial).

Can I use FMS for this purpose without buying it?

Thanks all...

I will answer that on technical perspective first.

Limit is on 10 connections at given point of time. So if one user leaves and connection is closed from client end, one more client can join in. When limit reaches 10 connections, 11th client who is trying to connect will get rejected connections. All previous 10 connections won't have any issue. In your case you can have max 9 clients as one connection would always used by your publisher for publishing.

I think you can use FMS for this if you trying out something, but i would recommend you to read EULA to be sure that you are not violating it. I suppose if you are not using it for any commercial purpose and want to test feasibility of FMS, I suppose you should be just fine using it. But please do read EULA and be on safer side.

When using the developer edition, after the 10 concurrent user limit is reached, new connections will be rejected.

According to the FMS EULA (or at least, the last time I read it), you can use the dev edition in a production environment. So, if you only need 10 connections, you can use it without buying a license
