Access Logs to Noteworthy Statistics

I've read many manuals and documentation on customizing the log files created by FMS. I've configured the necessary files to create these log files, but now that this is done, I'm searching for a way to parse through these log files and create statistics that are usable and easy to read.

For example, I have the access logs configured to hold various information and now I want to be able to parse through the access logs and either store them into a db or have some tool that will gleen information such as IP's on site/off site, how many times a particular stream was accessed, etc.

Is there something built into FMS that would do this or do I have to find 3rd party programs to do this? I've tried many search patterns and I haven't found much on FMS logs, only stuff that could work.

Here are some that I have looked into/at:

  • AWStats
  • FMS Log Analyzer
  • FastStats
  • Webalizer
  • Analog
  • http-analyze
  • Sawmill

We're hoping for "free" but that isn't always the case. For most it's hit or miss depending on the configurations to get those to work, so any input would be most helpful.

Thanks,

FMS except for Admin Console and set of Admin API's does not provide ready to use statistical information. And there is pre-built tool which will fetch data from access logs and provide nice useful information for you. So sadly as of now you need to build your own tool or see if there is anyone 3rd party tool available. I have not search for such kind of tools so not aware much. But hopefully somewhere down the line we would have tool such tool serving the purpose, hopefully someone develops it earlier than latter. In case if i come across i will send info across you
