Dear Adobe I can find instructions and a list of needed  for modifying Apache to work with HLS for Apple/IOS devices. However I cannot use .dll on Linux but I can possibly use the .so files ....so can you verify that FMS 4.5  HLS  for Apple/IOS devices works on Linux by installing just the  3 .so files below? If it is in short why don't i need the .dll? Please answer so I don't spend days trying to install FMS 4.5 in a way that is not documented or tested by you. Also is installing FMS 4.5 and HLS for Adobe/IOS devices possible on IIS? Where do i get instructions for IIS? Thanks for your time.

Hi,

We are ALL on your side, trying to help

I have sent a mail on your yahoo account (as I couldn't attach the files here easily), which you can unzip and copy all the files to the modules folder on Apache on Linux.

Please let us know if those work you.

On the other hand, these files should have been present on apache with linux after the FMS installation, but let's not go into why / whether they are present or not , for now. We will make sure to make them available if they are not already there.

Thank you everyone for extending support to resolve the issue.

The answer to this problem is in my other post titled Adobe FMS 4.5 install instructions missing. I haven't tested completely yet but apache an FMS are running without any errors so I suspect it does work on centOS 5.7 x86_64 or possibly even higher versions. Will append this post after i get some Apple/IOS devices and a couple of apps built. may be a week or more waiting for expired replacement credit card to be sent by mail so i can buy the mentioned Apple/IOS devices . Thankyou to everybody that helped me straighten this out.

We just support Apache modules - there's no relevant modules or set up for IIS when it comes to HDS/HLS.

Well I can't use Apache on Windows 7 because PHP_GD and PHP_MySQL won't install. I had to setup IIS and have been using it for over a year as a development machine. I will say I haven't tried to install Apache on Windows 7 for over a year so maybe this has changed. But even if it has I don't care to change because I have development websites highly integrated with IIS and I don't care to spend countless hours re-configuring/building everything. Any hope for IIS support in the near future?
