after fms 3.5 install

after i install fms 3.5 i got this error:

Installing Adobe Flash Media Server files...

Configuring Adobe Flash Media Server...

Adding "fms" service.

Setting default admin to "fms".

./installFMS: 1349: /sbin/chkconfig: not found

Setting autostart for "fms".

Server:fms command:start

ulimit: 30: Illegal option -u

[: 35: -lt: unexpected operator

NPTL 2.13

./server: 56: Bad substitution

Admin server:fmsadmin command:start

./adminserver: 41: Bad substitution

The Adobe Flash Media Server installation is complete.

Can you provide more details like which OS are you trying to install and which exact build of 3.5 are you using. Also where did you get hold of this build (i am assuming from Adobe site but just want to double confirm if its not passed to you by some user and if he has modified few files in extracted installation package). Can you please try latest in 3.5 series i.e 3.5.7 - you can find the installer here : http://www.adobe.com/support/flashmediaserver/downloads_updaters.html

am trying to install fms on ubuntu 11.10 server, because am more comfortable useing ubuntu, also am following an instruction i see on the web how to installing fms 3 on ubuntu.. also i didnt get the copy from adobe cause i was searching there site for it but couldnt find it....... much thanks for your link.

can fms 3 work on ubuntu server?
