Hello,

I'm trying to create file with an .avi in a flash file. I did (in Flash Prof. 😎 File, Import, Import video. Selected .avi file on my hard drive and Progressive download from a web server, endoded with Flash 8 - Medium Quality (400kbps), choose skin, then finish video import. I published, then upload to my server the .avi, .swf, and htm files. When I view, I don't see anything (in test movie as well). I think I am leaving out a big step. Please help.

Here is the file: http://www.ewebsites.ws/model-01.html

Thanks in advance.

Flash does not actually use the .avi file. It converts it to a Flash Video File (.flv). You then, need only upload your SWF file, HTML, file and FLV file.

I know this seems a bit odd, but Flash really wants to use its own format for the video. There is no direct support in Flash for .avi, .mpg, .mov files. Unless someone out there knows another way to do video in Flash without an external class?
