Backup FMS

hello everybody

I'm new of the Adobe Community, and I wasn't able to find answer on the web... Could someone give me some informations on ho w to backup FMS critical files and data? Can I use BackupExec? If yes wich agent I have to purchase? There are some best practice?

    and so, if I need to backup prerecorded VODs on the origin server, I could simply backup the file system of the folder without any db agent?

    Unless you have FMS taking advantage of a DB then no. Just backup the folders and you should be fine.

    Primarily just the conf and applications folder need to be backed up. You can use any backup software to backup the folders. You can backup the logs too if you so needed to keep those safe as well.
