bandwidth detectiion?

how do I enable the bandtwith detection?

I have the 3 sample mp4 files (300k, 800k and 1500k)

my player I can direct to a file (for example rtmp://server:443/vod/AdobeBand_1500K_H264.mp4)

but how does the server now uses the bandtwith detection?
do I need to direct it to an flv file? and how should I build this file correctly?

    Hello Mike

    Ill tell you how we got it going. We use a free player called flowplayer. you can get the source code for it but we decided to just build a wrapper around it that will test the bandwidth then depending on what speeds they got choose the correct file.

    There is instructions and action script 2 and 3 code in the manual, its just trying to get it into a player with out having to build your own from scratch thats the issue

    Hey Anubis,

    Did you ever get the answers you were looking for? We just purchased two Flash Media Server 3's because of the touted "Native Bandwidth Detection", but were provided no clues as to how to get it functional.

    Any suggestions or links to helpful information?
