Broken HTTP stream won't resume - FMS 4.5

Hey guys!

I recently moved to HTTP broadcast with FMS 4.5, and I noticed that if, for some reason, the stream is broken between my video origin (Flash Live Encoder) and the server, the stream won't resume after things are back to normal at the origin. I need to log on to the FMS server, stop the server, empty the folder from all the 'old' bootstrap and f4m temporary files, and restart the server. Then the broadcast come back to normal on all the web pages receiving the stream.

Is there a way to avoid that, and have the stream to 'reconnect' when the source from Flash Live Encoder is available again?

Thanks!

I have the same problem.  Have you found a solution to this?

I did! I gave a try to Telestream's Wirecast, and it solved the problem. For some reason Flash Live Encoder just doesn't resume broken stream. Since I use Wirecast, I've never seen the problem again. And the software is simply fabulous! Worth every penny. There's a trial version, test it and see if it solves your issue. It did for me.
