Building Server for FMS

I have built a flash app that utilizes an rtmp feed to stream video and I want to be able to stream my own content. I am looking into building the machine that will run Flash Media Server and was looking for some pointers before I get started.

My flash based application runs independently on a large touch screen and is going to be the only pc accessing this server, so I was wondering how beefed up the server needed to be. I would like to get it stream three live hd feeds. Can I run Flash Media Live Encoder and Flash Media Server on the same machine? Any suggestions on a particular hardware configuration?

Thanks for the help!

Looking at your use case if i get it right - i see there would be only three streams (three live hd feeds) - in that case i don't see that much load on server. Please correct me if i got you wrong.

Also with respect to your other query of running FMLE and FMS on same machine - there should not be much issue on that front - they should be able to run on same machine without much conflict.

From what I have read, the software can handle 3 HD streams, but I need to know what kind of processor I need to put behind this. Can I get away with just one quadcore? Can this run on a standard PC with the proper capture cards, or do I need a highend server? I will only be accessing this FMS machine from pc's within our building.
