Question

Can AMS connect to another RTMP stream?

I have AMS setup for VOD.  Using the specific URLs provided by AMS, iPhone clients and Flash player can connect to these video streams.  Pretty easy!

In addition to connecting to these static video files, I'd like the AMS to connect to a live RTMP stream.  And then using specific URLs, I'd like for iPhone & Flash Player to view it.  Is that possible?

Yes, you can. You need to write a client side action script code to send your live RTMP stream to AMS. AMS already has a server side application defined as "live" for handling RTMP ingests.

If you are using flash media live encoder for publishing RTMP stream , you can directly refer to this tutorial : Adobe Media Server Help | Stream live media (RTMP)
