Cloudfront streaming: slow and buggy

Though I've so far had good luck testing FMS with EC2, cloudfront has been awful.

Whether I get an actual connection to a stream is hit or miss. Sometimes it connects. Sometimes it connects with no audio. Sometimes is says it's connected, but then shows me the play button (not playing). Delay is anywhere from 10 - 60 secs.

Here are a couple of URLs for example:

rtmp://s2yt54mt79nx0r.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/mp4:seaside3.f4v

rtmp://s2yt54mt79nx0r.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/mp4:seaside2.f4v

Wondering if I shouldn't buy my own license for VOD, and use EC2 just for live events.

    To answer my own question:

Adobe has an f4v post processor command line app: 'f4vpp'. Using it seems to help the f4v files start more quickly and reliably in Cloudfront, (though they run fine without post-processing in a dedicated FMS server).

Did you report this kind of issue to Amazon and if yes what was thier response of this?

Is there a way to report it without purchasing a support plan?
