What frame dimensions is everyone using out in the real world for encoding and streaming 4:3 aspect video?

Would 512x384 be too CPU/bandwidth intensive for average broadband users with 1.5MB downstream and a mid range laptop/PC?

I was looking at 384x288, 448x336, or 512x384 and wanted to get some recommedations on what would work best for most users.

Thanks!

Though i am not encoding exper - I dont think 512x384 would be CPU intensive as now much higher resolutions are been used. I would suggest you go through various encoding guidelines present on web which might hekp you further.
