Connect through router

Question

Hi guys,

seems I can connect ok locally but not from the internet.

rtmp:/localhost/appname works great but when I try
rtmp://ip/appname it does not, my firewall and router firewall have
been disabled but still no luck.

any ideas?

hey man... I got the same problem... but I overcame that!

that's simple...
first you must port forward the ports of your webserver, flashcomm and fcs admin.. I bet that the PORT FORWARDING is located in your modem settings.

second...
you will never be able to access your local server using your internet ip addess if you're behind a routed connection, though everyone who has a different internet Ip than you can easily connect to your applications...

I thought my server wasn't running, and a friend of mine asked my Ip, and tried to connect and got success...

So man... give your Ip addess to a friend and ask him to connect!
