different serial numbers behave differently?

Hi all,

I'm very new to Adobe Media Server, actually i'm not in this field. Somehow i ran into a project doing live streaming, and we bought AMS standard edition.

I wonder if different serial numbers have different restrictions or behaviour, even installing AMS with the same installation package file.

i downloaded the installation package from the link provided by adobe and i can install and run the AMS successfully.

but somehow it doesn't work with the system our vendor developed.

So they (vendor) installed the AMS with the SAME installation package on the same machine with fresh system, and their SERIAL NUMBER, it works completely fine.

I did follow their installation step, same configs, and i have compare two different installed folders, the only different is the SERIAL NUMBER.

could anyone help me about this?
