I am new in the Adobe world, so please have patience

I am looking for a tool that can stream videos to certain client on demand.
It would be very useful to know what to buy. Here are my questions to the pros:

-does Adobe Media Server send in multicast?

-I think I have to install the media server and the media encoder, is it right?

-Can I install the tools on the same machine?

Thanks for your help.
