Question

Does FMS 4.5 support Protected HTTP Streaming (PHDS)?

I am referring to the documentation here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/devguide/WS47c0525fe440307e-685173b213221ed709a-8000.html.  The documentation is for FMS "4.5.1".  Is PHDS for a live HTTP stream also supported in FMS 4.5?

I tried setting Application.xml as instructed in the guide, and when I viewed the .f4m from the live stream, I did not see any indication that it was encrypted.

Yes it is supported in 4.5.. However PHDS in not supported in the FMSS.

But if that's not the case, please revert with your Application.xml settings.. Also check the application and core logs, does they report any error/warnings..

Thanks for the response Nitin.  I looked in the core log, and discovered it was unable to find the policy bin file.  It is looking for it in the livepkgr directory and not in rootinstall/phds.

That's strange.. I will consult my other team member's if that is actually possible.. By the time, I would suggest you to copy-paste it there, so that its available to it and you are not blocked.

Also to help you better, Can you please share your FMS installation directory structure  and Application.xml configs..
