    Hi Henry,

If you delete the file while it is being recorded to, then anyone playing from the file will get a stream stop.  DVR is essentially vod, where clients play from the recorded file.  So they would get a stream stop.  However, the broadcast is unaffected in that the publishing stream would continue to be published as a live stream, and anybody playing the stream as a "live" stream (not dvr) would also be unaffected.

Can you provide some more details regarding what you're trying to do?  Are you wondering about a 24x7 dvr event and worried about filling the disk?

    Thanks,

    Ed

Currently, FMS does not support a rolling/sliding window where we only keep the last x hrs of a DVR event.

However, what you could do is in SSAS, you stop and restart the recording, which would record over the previous recorded file, and you get a fresh new recording. But obviously you lose access to anything prior to this; and it is like starting a new DVR event.
