fcs components.

hi all,

i just installed a version of fcs 1.5 mx in my machine.
i have fp 9, and authoring flash 8 and mx 2004.

it installed the server in my machine but the components dosen't show up in
the componetns window either in flash 8 or mx 2004.

2 questions:

where is my fcs components?
can i use flash 8 and code in AS2, normally, or i'll have to use flash mx
2004?


i can't install fms 2, because my hosting only supports fcs 1.5 :(

    hi jay, thanks for the reply.

    i couldn't find the page specific for the FCS components, i found this:

    these are FMS components.

    will they work in my hosting that has FCS 1.5 ?
    in which version of flash it will be installed (and which can i use) since i
    have mx 2004 and 8 ?

    i'm affraid to use flash 8 and have some compatibility problem with the
    components.

    The problem people seem to run into with the communication components is mixing them with v2 UI components and actionscript 2. I don't know if they've been updated (I don't use the commuincation components), but last I checked they were still written in AS1. If you have problems with the components, try exporting your .swf to AS1.

    As for the authoring environment, MX or 8 will do fine.

    The components don't install with the server. There is a separate download on the Adobe site. Look on the FMS product page... the components should be with the rest of the downloads
