file is stuck on buffering on playout

Newbie here....

I followed the instructions located here:

when i load the player and put the correct rtmp link, the video is stuck in buffering

I also tried the strobe media playback  and getting the same issue.

I also tried playing the sample.flv file located in the vod/media directory and getting the same problem

    Hi,

    In the player Video Source (URL):, are you specifying a public server?

    You can also try if the stream is playing or not using the simple player which i can provide. Can you please share your email id.

    Thanks for getting back!

    Yes, I was using the public server.

    I was eventually able to get the files to play using:

    http://openvideoplayer.sourceforge.net/ovpfl/akamai_multi_player/Konfigurator.html

    and flv player.

    Eventually, http://www.osmf.org/configurator/fmp/ was able to play the files for adaptive streaming.  I still have not been able to get strobe media player to work.

    I am now looking for a way to simulate bandwidth throttling for the adaptive streaming files!  Fun times
