Flash Media interactive server authentication

Hello i i have been searching throughout forums looking for an easy effecitve way to set up authenication between Flash media interactive server and flash media live encoder such that we dont have any rogue publishers. I see alot of people talking about the fact that it can be done but have yet to find a document or post that outlines the modules needed and procudures to make work. Does anyone have a good link that outlines this or document locaiton i can reference.
