Question
Flash Media Server 2 with Dreamweaver
Hi,
I have a few problems.
Up to now we have gotten away with FLV files being progressively viewed through a webpage, since the traffic was low in the beginning.
Now we have issues with buffering and delays so I'm trying out Flash Media Server 2.
All I want to be able to do is place premade FLV files into the applications folder of Flash Media Server, crank up Dreamweaver CS3 create a basic page for the moment and connect to the file and stream it. I have started creating the MySQL and PHP database system for better admin in the future, but I just want to see 1 file stream successfully in a basic webpage for the moment.
Using Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6.0
Dreamweaver looks for instance names which I'm not sure about.
Is there a a step by step tutorial I can use to achieve this please? all the tutorials I have found seem to be for streaming live video, but I'm not interested in this.
One tutorial mentions placing the main asc file into the applications folder also, but with my versions of Dreamweaver CS3 and Flash Professional CS3 I do not seem to have Smaple folders, and a search cannot find a main.asc file. Where do I get it?
cheers
