Flash Media Server Authentication Add-In

hello,

i need to know how to configure the Flash Media Server Authentication Add-In  in my server knowing that i did installed the module and i do not know what to do after that iam using FMS 3.5 on win 2008 server

what shall i do to activate this module and prevent every one but the users i will add to stream

    Hi,

    If you have successfully installed the add in module, it will be automatically enabled after you restart the server (even this step should have been done by the add in installer if i remember correctly) the following will be available :

    Go to the conf folder under your FMS installation dir.You will find two files there, users.exe and users.dat

    <FMSInstallDir>\conf\

    Users.exe is a command line utility which you can use to add or edit users. check the help options for the commands. Once you add a user, open your FMLE and try to make a simple connection to your FMS. FMLE will autodetect the add in installer and will pop up a login box to authenticate.

    thank you for your help but it did not work for me i installed the FMS on the default pass knowing iam using win 64 and i installed the FMS authentication add-in for this version it said installation complete and the server restarted

    i used cmd to reach /conf i found the 2 files i used command

    users add -u username -p password

    to add the user

    i tried to test and started FMLencoder v3.2 and it just started to stream and did not ask me for any username or password as you can see here
