Flash Player 10

Hi,

I created a website a year ago using Macromedia Flash 8 and uploaded some flv files. (They were quick time movies and I converted it to flv) On my old computer I could view the files online perfectly. However since then we have gotten two new computers that came with Adobe Flash Player 10 and now every time I go to my websites I can't view my flv anymore. I click on the link and it won't pop up. Does this have anything to do with the fact I made the site with Flash 8? Because when I converted the files it said it was compatible with Flash Player 8 or later so I don't know why I can't view it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks,

Krys

    When you say:

"I click on the link and it won't pop up"

What exactly do you mean? Is the link in the HTML page or in the .swf? Is the player in a popup window, inside a larger .swf project?

It would make things easier if you post your code or a link to the problem page.

The link to the flv file is inside a larger .swf file. Here's the link to the page:

if you go to Web Design/Videos and click any of the two buttons under 3D Medical the videos do not come up. Whereas before when I had Flash 8 and it's player it worked perfectly.

Those two button you press (as with all the buttons on the site) call up a smaller swf file with the flv. Thanks so much for your help,

    Krys.

Nope... doesn't work for me either.

You mentioned that the button clicks result in loading another .swf with the video embedded. Does accessing those .swf files directly work?

Any chance the external .swf files are on another domain? The security model for the flashplayer has changed in recent versions, that might be a factor.

It would probably help if you post your code (the button action and the code that loads the external .swf files.
