Hi,

I just wanna ask something about deploying flash apps in Flash Media server.

If I have developed (or costumize) a flash player under Flash Media Development Server (free/trial one)

when I try to deploy the apps on FMSS, can it be done? I mean, from what I read in 3 FMS edition comparison table.
it is said that we cannot build custom apps to be deployed in FMSS, only in FMIS, is that right? please CMIIW ..

We're buying license for FMSS and don't really have budget to purchase FMIS license.

Thanks and best regard,

FMSS does support scripting but only primitive one. Check out the main.far file in your live or vod folder to see what SSAS is supported.

    1. if you have a main.asc file or main.far file that has custom scripting in it them FMIS must be used.

    2. if you have a client vidoe player that only calls videos to be played or streamed then use FMSS i think webcams might be supported too but you will have to look that up.

    3. if the price of FMIS doesn't strike you then get your application hosted by influxis.com
