I am looking for documentation on best practices for setting up an FMIS server (platform recommendations, etc).  One specific question I have is whether Adobe recommends for or against using Microsoft virtualization technology (virtual servers).

Our System Requirements are stated here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-media-interactive/tech-specs.html

Some of best practices in setting up FMS are here specially in terms of security: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashmediaserver/articles/hardening_guide.html

When it comes to VM there is no specific stand when it comes to FMS - though for any server it would always be recommeded to use physical hardware. If you are going for VM's you might have to go for customised VM's so that they provide better performance. Just to add there should not be any issue in terms of core functionality when FMS is run on VM
