FMIS on Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2 (will it install?)

Hi all,

Might be a dumb question but a client has Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2 R2 and I was wondering if Flash Media Interactive Server will install and run fine on it?

The requirements on the site say Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 with Service Pack 2 but no about "Standard" or "Enterprise".

Thanks for your help!

Ryan

Yeah... it should work fine. I have a number of Win2k3 enterprise servers running FMS.

JayCharles you mentioned installed FMIS on Windows 2003.

    I installed FMIS 3.0 on Windows 2003.

CPU is Sempron 3500, 2gig Mem, 1gig ethernet card.

The streaming videos on VOD play fine internally within local lan.

Duration is over 1hour encoded in .flv format

I published swf's to wwwroot on Windows Server on C:\

the VOD's are in on E:\ in .flv format

DSL speed is up at about

Download Speed: 1741 kbps (217.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 434 kbps (54.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Latency: 57 ms

The question is why the sound/video to outside world is not smooth.

    Sample is here  http://auffant.selfip.org/flvs/poly1.swf

Any suggestions to improve the quality, Where I am missing the boat?

    Thanks

So, you're saying that the server has only 434kbps of upstream bandwidth? That's likely the problem.

What bitrate is the video encoded at?
