hi,

i installed FMS2 on gentoo linux 32 bits, it worked fine with the flag platformwarn.

I can run the server in IE, connecting to the admin, loading an application.
But when i try to connect with my application (localy or not) , i always have connection failed.

Does someone from adobe (or else) can answer to this question ?

Is FMS working with linuxthreads-0.10 ? because when i'm starting my server i have this :

pclinux fms # ./server start
linuxthreads-0.10
Starting Macromedia Flash Media Server (please check /var/log/messages)

but i saw many tutorials where the command line was like this :

% ./server start
NPTL 2.3.4
Starting Macromedia Flash Media Server (please check /var/log/messages)

Thanks for your anwser and excuse my poor english

thanks but i have no pb with the 1935 port its open on my firewall like the 1111.
I can connect without ANY pb on the 1111.

Do you have a firewall (either on the client or server side) blocking port 1935? Connections to the admin service are on port 1111, but the client connections (by default) connect over port 1935.

The FMS service can be bound to any port or ports, but the in the default configuration, it listens only to 1935
