Hi Guys and Girls,

I have bought and managed to install FMS 3.0 on Centos5.2
All is standard using port 1935
I am using a camera and a View cast box that sends a live encoded stream all it needs is a url to point to:
Sever address - rtmp://ip address/live/mystream

Is that all?
Is there a easy way to see if the server is working?

Thanx in advance

    Dear Sir:

Sorry I am new to Flash Media Server.

    I have the similar problem.

I have Flash Streaming Media Server 3.0.1 installed on our Windows Server 2003.
I cannot access to the my video files from the server's web browser. And also from the client's PC. How can I do that.

Any urgent help will be highly appreciated.

    With best regards,

    Islam

Assuming that FMS is properly installed and there's no firewall blocking ports 1935, 80, and 1111 then yeah, that's all you need to do.

Short of subscribing to the stream, I find the easiest way to see if the server is working is to try accessing the application via the admin console and viewing the stream. If you can view the stream from the console, you can be confident that FMS is working.
