FMS 4.0 Demo Behavior

Hello,  I am evaluating a FMS 4.0 server to ensure our hardware is compatible. We're testing live streaming and it appears to work for a few minutes but eventually stops streaming. Is there a way I can tell if this is being caused by a demo limitation vs something else? We're very close to purchasing the software but want to rule out any unforseen glitches that would lead to a non-stable service.  If there are any specific log messages I should look for please let me know!

I am using Flash Live Media Encoder 3.0 on a Windows XP system. The error message I see when the stream goes down is:

Unexpected error encountered in encoding process.

Please let me know if you need more info.

Thanks much!

Thanks so much! We were able to narrow it down to the audio card. If I disable audio streaming or have no sounds playing during an audio session, the stream remains stable.  This was using a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. I then tried replacing that card with a newer Diamond XS5I sound card and the stream now seems to buffer/stutter every few seconds.

Try using the 3.1 version of FMLE.

I am using version: 3.1.0.8703 - Or am I reading the log file incorrectly?

"Unexpected error" is an FMLE error caused by the device. Either your video or audio device is not functioning properly and not giving packets to FMLE to continue encoding.

Which devices are you using? Changing your audio or video device might solve the problem. Please share your fmle session log so that I can help you more.

Its not demo limitation which comes with Developer Edition. On the look of it it does not seem to be FMS end error but more of FMLE error. Where do you see the error - i suppose in FMLE - can you confirm that.
