FMS and public url

hi all

I have sucessfully installed FMS . Then we have implemented live broadcasting and receiving in local network. In this case, we have connected to the FMS with the ip address of the machine in which FMS is installed.for eg:"rtmp://192.168.0.54/live". Ultimately, the live stream that we are broadcasting should be accessed from outside network also. How this can be achieved?

Now i need to make the machine in which FMS installed as public. That means, this machine should be able to access from outside networks.

So I have set my localhost folder as public. That folder can be accessed from outside networks with the following url "123.145.67.81:3001". In this case, how should i configure FMS or what url should I use for rtmp connection?

    Hi,

    I think you may find relevant information at another post http://forums.adobe.com/message/2849302#2849302 . Could you please go through it to see if you are able to get it to work?

    Once the public IP is setup rtmp://<public ip>/live should work for you.

    Just out of curiosity, could you tell me what you had missed out when you faced the issue earlier and how you solved it in brief. It might also help others in future if they are running into similar issues while setting up FMS to be used with a public url.
