FMS connection problems

I have just set up FMS on Windows XP
It seems to work fine since I can connect to it through the admin interface!

Now the problem is when I try to connect to a application I can only do this through the admin port!
so rtmp://localhost:1111/application works but rtmp://localhost:1935/application or rtmp://localhost/application does not!
It also seems that when connected through port 1111 the application can't execute the way it should be!
When testing the sample_snapshot application and I try to record something it automatically disconnects, and won't store anything!

Thanks for the help!!!

    Check in the file fms.ini , The default settings should be.

    ADAPTOR.HOSTPORT = :1935
    SERVER.ADMINSERVER_HOSTPORT = :1111

    hi i noticed a reply here that mentions msn being a problem for it im just wondering would a video chat software such as camfrog also cause a problem in FMS functioning correctly??

    Always check that 1935 is opened and if it is then you got other progs that are blocking FMS, it doesnt like stuff like msn or whatever. its soo annoying, I also had similar probs till i stop everything when runnning FMS.
