FMS on NAS/Cluster/Loadbalance

Hello

Guys,

I´m newer on Flash Media Server 3.5, I read a lot docs about FMS on cluster but my question about FMS working with NAS.

My idea is two servers FMS´s share the same storage via NAS and loadbalance in front of managing the balance.

This is a good idea or not?

This is fine as long as the speed, i.e. latency and throughput of your NAS is sufficient for your two servers.  I've seen setups like this where they used a remote NAS that looked great for 1-2 streams but fell apart under more load.  Might want to sanity check your latency and BW numbers first, but otherwise it's fine.  If it's not fine you may want to build a file adaptor to handle asyncing these requests, and at this point you're basically a mini CDN - congratulations.

    Hello

    Asa,

Thanks for your help, you´re right the big question is how many requests my storage will accept.

Why this archicteture?, my company has Oracle UCM - Content Managment and we implemented the same ideia two servers sharing the same storage via NAS and until now works fine.

    Ps: You work at Adobe?
