FMS OS Question

I am looking to purchased FMS Interactive and I was looking at the system requirements - it says is supports Red Hat 4 and Windows 2003 Server.

I assume this mean it is officially support on either the old Red Hat Linux 4 or Red Hat Enterprise 4 correct?

Also, any opinions on running FMS on Linux vs Windows. - The server will only be for FMS and nothing else. I normally use Linux or OS X Server, but in this case since there server will be strictly for FMS I was wondering what might be better. Windows 2003 Server or Red Hat Enterprise 4?

FMS2 and 3 work great on CentOS 4, 4.5. (Free clone of RHEL4) Many people have got it running on Fedora and other distros. There a couple extra things you need to do, one of which will not be to call Adobe support about any install problems you have. Google is your friend!

The requirements should state Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, rather than just Red Hat 4. Sorry for any confusion there.

The FMS is fully supported under both Windows and Linux, and we have done alot of work in FMS3 to ensure that the performance under Linux is as good or better as the Windows version. Your choice of platform can therefore be made according to your own individual needs or preferences.

I hope you enjoy working with the FMS!
