FMS Service STOPS!

Hello,

This is pissing me off actually, the service is automatically stopping!

FMS version is 2.0.1, i am using windows XP. I am having this problem since today only! i thought that it might be services conflict issue, so i stopped most of the services that are not by MICROSOFT, and still the FMS stops after exactly 4 seconds or sometimes less.

I am using the Developer edition. is there any limitation for that edition such as expiring after 3 or 4 weeks? i guess not!

PLease help...

and yeah, i tried to reinstall the FMS, did not work out.

I met the same problem!!! any solutions???

Hello guys. I ran into the same problem and found the solution.
Using FilemonNT (www.sysinternals.com) I found out that there is a file at
    <Documents and Settings>\All Users\Application Data\fms\
that has the timestamp info and we are supposed to delete it in order to make the server work again.
Note that the file has an empty string ("") name (i.e. the file does not have a name).
I hope Macromedia (Adobe) does not think that this is "hidden" hack to prevent people from messing with the clock.
I'd really hope that they won't try to throw in another hidden "cookie"...

    Hello,
I have exactly this problem but with a linux system. I can't find the file I need to delete in order to be able to start my FMS again. I deleted all the tmp dir, the logs dir.. the registry dir...

    error message:
"FMS has detected system time is going backwards; shutting down server."

The only solution on the net seem to be for windows systems.

Do you have a solution ???

Best regards and many thanks !

I can't say I've ever seen that one. Do you have any other sofware running that screws with the system time?

This might be a good one to post on the Chattyfig list. Perhaps one of the developers will chime in about the error code.

This is stupid, it seems that when i installed windows, i (by mistake) entered a wrong date, which was in the future, anyway, when i changed it into the right time, the FMS screwed up...

So, when i want to use the FMS, i have to add a month to my time, so i am workin on 2nd of July now... lol

This is one of the ways i used to do to hack a system, add 10 years to your date, then download any product that will work for 30 days, then get back the original time, and yep, your application will work for 10 years + 30 days

DID not find a solution yet, maybe i have to totally remove the FMS including the registration files, then reinstall it again with the new time is set in my machine! for now, i'll stay in the future for a while...

What does the server log tell you?

I'm experiencing from a while the same behavior with Breeze, being the FCS service the only one (out of 4 used by the application) falling frequently.
Looking up the logs I found in the Master file:
(e)2781349 FMS has detected system time is going backwards; shutting down server.

Has any of you ever dealt with it? I'm new to FCS since in Breeze you use it in an 'as it is' way.. any comments/ideas?
    thanks in advance
