I have a RH EL4 server with a Xeon processor and 4GB RAM and am trying to get FMS3 to run. I installed the software and then went back and installed the compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm and mozilla-nspr-1.7.6-1.2.5.i386 and then copied the libasneu.so.1 into the /lib directory. I uninstalled and reinstalled FMS3 and that seemed to fix all the error messages, but now the server just aborts on start. The log file says:

Jul 15 08:22:46 host Service[8807]: Server starting...
Jul 15 08:22:46 host Service[8807]: Server aborted.

The server is running as root with the group root. everything else was left as the default.

I guess I'll just use Wowza's server, their support is MUCH better.

Patience does not seem to be one of your virtues :) I am like that too hehe.
Any way, if anyone else might encounter this issue-- my guess is that the service has already been started (easily reproducible case, but I don't know if there is another circumstance that the "Server aborted" message can occur). This probably wasn't a problem at all.
