fmscore process <defunct>

Here is a list of my processes after installing fms2. If you look you will see that fmscore is <defunct>. My question is, is this natural for the fms server? A process is considered <defunct> if it has no associated to the parent process that started it. Does this have something to do with the way fmscore receives requests from the edge server?
