FMSS install help Linux 5.2 owned License

We have installed this on RHES 4 and 5.2 with apache 3.2 we bought the software last weekend.

  • one install the test http:// sample worked but not the rtmp:// sample could not upload unistalled try again
  • next install no application/new instance to load in adminserver
  • next install can't move or ftp any videos to folders also could not delete any folders
  • also have on every install a conf backup and the main conf file is chmod 751 and will not change to 755 or any chmod setting
  • We are loading the software to a folder under public_html/hd instead of the default of /opt/adobe/fms
  • if we should load it to /opt/adobe/fms folder then how would we get or setup streaming videos from a different static ip on the server main ip is x.x.x.50 want to stream on x.x.x.51?

Any ideas or help would be great. Anyone have some good troubleshooting info for linux installs? The dirrections for linux needs work and there are no troubleshooting info for FMSS on the web.

    Ok I think I might have the install right now all samples are working only been 6 days but

    I Still can't upload any files to applications/vod/media?

    So where should the streaming .flv or .swf files be uploaded to?

    Can they go to any /DIR or do they have to go to /home/x/public_html/videos/(where FMS is installed)/applications/vod/media?

    We also wamt to embed code into other webpages for the streaming video and use this server just for streaming video IE... 1 domain to another

    website(s) how would the embeded code be set up?
