Question

hardware encoders streaming to FMS?

Hello - Does anyone know of any low-cost standalone hardware encoders that can stream to FMS?  Specifically I have analog video and audio camera output and would like to encode that to stream it to FMS to be served as live video to end-users.  For the encoder I do NOT want to have a PC with hardware encoder card or a software encoder (such as Flash Media Encoder) but rather I want to have a low-cost stand-alone encoder.  Thank you in advance for any advice or direction you can point me in.

There are a number of partners that provide stand-alone solutions to capture, encode and stream to FMS.  For a standalone appliance, the two that you might want to look at first are ViewCast and Digital Rapids - they have a number of different units.  The full list of partners is available here - http://www.adobe.com/go/fmsp.

I would love to have this support too. As far I know RTMP protocol is protected by Adobe and for this reason there are only some open sourced products able to stream into FMS. Check out some other Flash Streaming solutions, I know about other server software supporting hardware devices.
