HDS Streaming AMS 5.01 - managing LiveStreamSeg files

I wonder if someone could help me with a small problem.  I am currently evaluating Adobe AMS 5.01.  Everything is set up and functioning as I expected it to.  My question is around the implementation of  Live HDS or Http Dynamic Streaming.  I have set up a live feed from Adobe flash Media Encoder.  I am able to access the live stream via a Flowplayer player embeded in a webpage.  So far so good.  I have looked in the relevant folder (../livepkgr/streams/_definst_/livestream for the LiveStreamSeg files and they are present.

My problem is that if I stop the stream, and restart it,  instead of creating a new series of Livestreamseg files, the livepkgr uses the files that are already there from the previous time the live stream was initiated. This causes the player to display a stream that is not in synch with the live stream being generated by the media encoder. Is there any way that these files can be cleared from the the server each time a live stream is stopped and restarted so that the client recieves a "true" livestream?

regards

Use this as a stream name - livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent&adbe-record-mode=record

Thank you for the very prompt response.  I have changed the encoder details as per your suggestion.  When the player access the stream, I get a continuous buffering.  When looking in the ../livepkgr/streams/_definst_/livestream for the LiveStreamSeg files the folder is empty?

Whenever you start publishing, this folder is always cleared. To actually view real-time content you’d need to first start publishing, then after 4 secs or more initiate playback.
