HDS VOD with Origin/Edge setup

Is it possible to use origin/edge setup when streaming using HDS ? I have succesfully tested using RTMP but when I try the HDS string - get error "we are having problems with playback". I can view the stream directly if I connect to the origin server.

I have 1x origin server and 1x edge server.

Any suggestions ?

    We installed Varnish on all our Edge servers (alongside FMS) but hav it listen on a second IP address. Varnish is configured to proxy and cache HDS and HLS content being served from the Origin FMS servers instance of Apache.

    Edge-Origin set up is meant for RTMP only not for HTTP. If you want to scale up HDS, you can use any solution which is used to scale HTTP traffic like Caching/Proxy servers so that load is distributed amongest various caching server and not all load is on origin.
