Question

help with streaming

Greetings,

We purchased and installed Adobe Media Sarver 5. We are trying to stream video on demand using the sample player that came with the server.

FLV codec:

We are able to stream FLV files through this URL stream: rtmp://server IP/vod/1, even when we changed the default path to our disk using the vod definition in the ams.ini file. However, it seems that we are limited to "vod" only and we are unable to use other streams, such as vod1 and so on, in order to use different url's to stream from (this option we did in server 3.5 using the fms.ini file).

Can you advise how to define (publish) other disks in our server.

MP4 codec

About MP4 files, we are able to stream only files in the "webroot/vod" directory, but can't  stream from any other disk/folder in the server. we tried to find the configuration file in which we can define the path but without success.

We will appreciate your guidance for streaming those formats and live video as well.

thanks in advance,

Michael
