Hi,

What can be done in order to achieve high availability and fault tolerance in FMG architecture.

What happen when FMG crash (I guess that the on line calls drop) what happen when the FMS crash?

Can I do something to have a call online even if one of the servers (in a cluster) fails?

We use phone lines in broadcast and we must be fault tolerance.

Shlomo.

For load-balancing or high-availability, one FMS may connect with more than one FMG and vice-versa.

In case of rare crash, FMG automatically comes up within few seconds and the same is true for FMS. Having an alterate set of servers would help ensure availability.

Existing calls would drop in case of respective FMG/FMS crash.

Hello Pankaj

Can you explain further on how to go about setting this up? Are there docs for setting this ? For example, i want to use 2 fmg (setup on different mahines) and connecting to 1 fms server. Is this as simple as pointing the rtmp.xml server  host IPaddress  to the IP of the FMS Server?  or if i wanted to use more than one FMS Server how will it know which server to push the stream (from a call) to?
